Zoning Code Update

Summary

The City’s Zoning Code is in the process of being updated!  In June 2022, the Planning Commission members brainstormed a list of topics that members would like to discuss in more detail. The Planning Commission has reviewed various changes over the last several months. View the Planning Commission cases for Zoning Code updates via the City of Ramsey's online agendas.

This update will consist of two components.  The first part is to update the regulations currently found in Chapter 117 with new, updated, or streamlined standards intended to be user-friendly and reflective of Ramsey’s development goals set forth in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. The second part is updating the Zoning Map with the new districts. The public hearing was at the Planning Commission’s regular meeting on July 27, 2023, to draft an ordinance and zoning map.
