Northwest Asphalt and Maintenance from Thief River Falls began prepping the streets on Monday, September 9, 2019. The crack seal process should take approximately three weeks to complete, weather dependent.

On July 9, 2019, the Ramsey City Council accepted three bids and awarded a contract for Improvement Project #19-00, 2019 Cracksealing Improvements, to the lowest responsible bidder, Northwest Asphalt and Maintenance, in the amount of $222,993.55. A pre-construction meeting will be conducted soon. This web site will then be updated with new information including detailed information about the construction process and schedule, contact information for the City inspector, and anticipated impacts to the public during construction.

On Friday, July 5, 2019, bids will be received. On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, the Ramsey City Council will consider accepting bids and awarding a contract for construction to the lowest responsible bidder. Upon award of contract, construction would likely begin mid to late-July and take one to two weeks to complete, weather depending. A pre-construction meeting will be conducted after the contract is awarded. On Tuesday, June 11th, 2019, the Ramsey CityCouncil adopted Resolution #19-135 Approving plans and specifications and Authorizing advertisement for bids forImprovement Project 19-00, 2019 Crackseal Improvement's. City Staff has developedfinal plans and specifications for use in bidding and constructing thisproject. Bids were published in both the Anoka County Union Herald and Finance andCommerce newspapers on June 14 and June 21st, 2019. For this project,we will be accepting only online electronic bids through Quest CDN.Construction is anticipated to begin in July/August 2019, weather depending, andpending City Council approval of award of contract to the lowest responsiblebidder. Letters will be mailed to all benefitting property owners with detailedinformation about the construction process and schedule, and what to expectduring construction, after the City and the contractor conduct apre-construction meeting.
