Kids Safety Camp

2020 Safety Camp Canceled

After a great deal of consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Safety Camp. We did not make this decision lightly. We took into consideration the safety and health of our campers, volunteers, and community partners. We have proudly held this camp for 18 years and plan to be back next year.

About the Camp

Every summer, the City of Ramsey sponsors a two-day, daytime Kids Safety Camp for up to 144 second and third graders. The goal of safety camp is to teach children how to prevent themselves from becoming victims of unintentional injuries. Through a variety of fun activities, professionals teach kids how to be safe around fire, animals, electricity, water, on a bicycle, and more.

Safety Camp is held at Elmcrest Park in Ramsey. The registration fee is $30, which includes activities, supplies, snacks and lunches, bike helmet, T-shirt and ice cream social. Scholarships are available. Registration is limited and is on a first-come basis. Visit our online catalog to register.
